HOME DELIVERED MEALS

ARC is responsible for Home Delivered Meals in January. Please choose a day to volunteer at the table in the Lobby. Meals are picked up at 11:10 AM and local delivery takes about an hour.

TALKING BIBLES CHALLENGE

A challenge has been extended to the congregation to raise money to purchase Talking Bibles for Tanzania. From now through the end of the year, for each $50 that is given, a Talking Bible will be placed on the Christmas tree in the Commons. Donations can be placed in the offering plate or given at the table by the tree on Sundays.

COMMUNITY MEN’S BIBLE STUDY

Men of all ages are invited to come to the Community Men’s Bible Study at ARC on Fridays, 6:30-7:30 AM. Roger Bosch is currently leading a study of Proverbs. Bring your Bible and morning coffee and come when you can.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are available on the table in the Commons with packing information inside. Shoeboxes will be collected November 17. We will also take an offering that day to purchase agricultural items such as oxen, goats, chicks, etc. for families in need through Samaritan’s Purse. Please pray about this and give accordingly to provide a   young child the gift of hearing about Jesus this Christmas. You can also pack a shoebox online at www.samaritanspurse.org.

UNDIE SUNDAY

SHARE, a Rock County Christmas distribution program, is in need of new, unopened women’s men’s, and children’s socks and undergarments. Place donations in the basket by the mailboxes by  November 26 to help local families in need. The SHARE distribution day is December 4. Applications to receive food, clothing, toys, etc. are located in the kiosk or can be found online at www.luvernechamber.com and must be submitted by November 20.

PRAYER GATHERING

During 2024 we will gather on the first Tuesday of the month to pray for the Church and for our nation. The November prayer gathering will be Tuesday, November 5, 12-1 PM in the Worship Center. All are welcome. Note change of time!

The Jr High Youth Group invites you to participate in their Fall Fundraiser. Order Christmas cookie kits, cinnamon rolls, sliced grilled chicken, chicken strips, popcorn chicken, a variety of soups, and breadsticks. Order online, at the Connections Center or with a student. Orders are due November 6; delivery will be Monday, November 25.

Mexican Supper, Challenge and Auction – Tuesday, November 5

Supper served from 5:30-6:45 PM; freewill donation | Live Auction at 7 PM

What is this night all about? Each member of the Sr High Youth Group challenges someone to make a baked item, smoked meat, or jerky. The two items are judged against each other and the winning entry gets auctioned off in the live auction and the losing entry is offered on a silent auction. Proceeds go towards Youth Group mission trips and outings. Come for an evening filled with good food, fellowship, and make sure to get a bidding number to join in the fun. PILLOW CLEANING

Friday, October 25, 7:30 AM-3 PM—Have your pillows cleaned, deodorized, sanitized, encased in new ticking, and returned the same day. New feather pillows will also be available for purchase. Proceeds will bless the Lions Club; questions – contact Glenda Schomacker.
